MIndful Yoga

Classes will incorporate elements of asana (postures) and meditation practice,

with a special emphasis on breath awareness, to cultivate returning and yoking

the mind to present experience through the sensations and movement of the body.  Essentially these classes are meditative practice and include

         • strong, active postures

         • restorative and yin postures

         • focused breathwork

         • seated meditation

Mindful Yoga for Caregivers

Monday evening, 5:30-7pm 

Series begins January 10, 2011 *

$100 for 6-week series

This Mindful Yoga class is specifically designed to promote deep relaxation and stress release for those whose jobs and/or roles in life require extensive caretaking duties.  This includes psychologists & counselors, doctors & nurses, mothers, children of aging parents, and others.

The focus of the class includes:                                    Classes will include:
  • deep rest & relaxation                                                    • strong physical postures
  • cultivating strength & stamina                                      • restorative postures
  • practicing mindfulness                                                  • pranayama (breathwork)
